Wednesday Wonders
"The world is full of magic things patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper." -W.B. Yeats |
--------------------
The curiously addicting pleasure from the tooth-tugging sensation of chewing caramel-covered and caramel-filled things.
--------------------
The simple miracle of being able to give my children a little medicine to blunt their pain, to calm their feverish tosses and turns in the night...and more recently, for the peace of mind I feel knowing that I can prevent one of them from descending into (harmless, but still terrifying to witness) fever seizures.---------------------
The satisfaction of seeing a fridge full of choices, that I can keep my batch of homemade soup waiting for days and it's still delicious and unspoiled.
----------------------
Having a house that I can live in as my own, not someone else's they're letting me borrow. It's still not old.
-----------------------
That the muddy puddles I can see from my window shimmer with the reminder that Winter somehow always melts into Spring, that the longer days always come, that the snow will always melt.
